After School Oasis
A free after-school program for elementary students, built around homework help, play, and relationships, hosted during the hours families need it most.
How an afternoon runs
At Our Lady of the Elms, the program runs Monday through Thursday, 3:00 to 5:30 PM, for students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. At other schools, it can run four afternoons a week, one day a week, or monthly. Every session follows the same rhythm: a group ice breaker, snack, dedicated homework and quiet time, then activities.
Homework first
Schoolwork gets finished before play begins, with adults at the table to help.
Play with a purpose
Board games, arts and crafts, basketball, and seasonal activities that build self-esteem, expression, and new skills.
Fed and safe
Each student receives two nut-free snack items per session, and pickup runs until 5:30 PM.

Free for every family, by design
After School Oasis charges families nothing. Donors cover staffing, snacks, and supplies. Sponsoring one child costs $100 a month.
